The data stored in the register is obtained from the customers themselves, for example, through messages sent via web forms, e-mail, telephone, social media services, contracts, customer meetings and other situations where the customer provides their data. Data is also collected using the Google Analytics analytics tool.

9. Regular data disclosures and data transfers outside the EU or the European Economic Area

The recipients of personal data in the register are:

  • Catania Group Oy and its employees

  • IT company that maintains the Catania Group Ltd website

The data are not regularly disclosed to other parties. Data may be published to the extent agreed with the customer. Some of the external service or software providers used by the company may store data outside the EU or the European Economic Area.

10. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small text file sent to and stored on a user's computer that enables the website operator to identify frequent visitors to the website, to facilitate visitor logins and to enable the compilation of aggregate information about visitors. The online store is operated by Shopify Inc., which provides Catania Group Ltd with an online e-commerce platform that enables Catania Group Ltd to sell products and services. The data is stored on Shopify's firewall-protected servers. Access to and use of the data contained in the register is restricted to predefined employees of the controller whose job description includes the processing of the data. These employees are bound by the obligation of professional secrecy.

13. Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the right to check what data relating to him or her have been recorded in the personal data file. A written request for inspection must be signed and sent to the person responsible for the register.

The right of inspection is free of charge and is exercised no more than once a year.

The data subject has the right to request the rectification or erasure of inaccurate or outdated data or the transfer of data from one system to another. 14. Force majeure


Catania Group Ltd is exempted from the obligations contained in these terms and conditions in the event of force majeure. Such an event may include, but is not limited to, fire, hurricane, flood, sabotage, interruption of financial transactions and public transport, accident causing great inconvenience, intervention by public authorities, enacted or amended law or industrial dispute.

Any disputes that may arise will be heard by the Länsi-Uusimaa District Court.
