An Unbiased Take on Clash Discs
Clash Discs sent me 5 discs in the spring to review, and right out of the gate they made an impression on me. To be clear,I am not on Clash’s payroll, nor do I have any other affiliation with them.
In short, I was very impressed.
Here are 5 take-aways from using Clash Discs.
Quality - Right out of the box, it is very clear that Clash Discs takes extra care to ensure that anyone who gets their discs will get the highest quality. All excess flashing and bumps are gone leaving you with a product that feels great in your hand right out of the gate.
Durability - In my tests I made sure to smack a few trees and some were actually intentional. The steady plastic holds up and I can envision these discs holding true for a long time to come.
Messaging - Call me old fashioned, but I want some measure of assurance that a product I purchase is going to meet or exceed standards. Clash wants this too. To prove it, they are sponsoring players that don’t have to throw any of their discs. They want players to throw their discs because they’re the best. And if they aren’t, they want to know why so they can fix it. That’s a message that works for me, and I think it resonates with a lot of others as well.
Flight - Here in lies my favorite part. It is, in fact, kind of the point in such a sport as disc golf. And these discs are absolute gems. For me, so many of them hit that just-right balance of stability, glide and flight path. As a result, I can make many of these hold lines that I can’t so easily get with other discs. This leads to my final take away.
Versatility - In my humble opinion Clash Discs are versatile in that they can be used by players of all levels. In addition, you can use so many of them for so many different types of throws. With such versatility, combined with the aforementioned durability, it stands to reason that once a Clash disc makes your bag it’ll hold that slot for a long time to come.
For these 5 reasons and more, I have found myself to be a Clash convert. In fact, one of the discs I was sent is in the running for my favorite disc I own!
